Bobby Blair Stewart Sr., 72, a resident of Athens, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at the residence.

He was the son of the late Frances Lawson Stewart and Luther Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ray Stewart; and stepsister, Dora Jenkins.

He worked in maintenance for the Cleveland Housing Authority, Bradley Memorial Hospital and Brown Stove Works.

He attended Family Chapel Church.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Ina Mae Stewart, of Athens; sons: Darren Stewart, Bobby Stewart Jr. and his wife, Janel, Greg Stewart, Glenn Stewart and Robert Stewart, all of Athens; daughters: Esther Womac and her husband, Jeremy, of Athens and Ina Tigue and her husband, Glen, of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margie Stewart of Benton; sister, Elsie Wooten of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Paul Sinfield and Buck Hughes, and Pastor Tricia Buckner, officiating.

Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Junior Womac, Bobby Stewart, Tanner Tigue, Paul Shannon, Glen Tigue and John Violet serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from noon until the service time at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
