MARION, Ind. — Lee University runner Anna Hrushka is in the midst of final preparations for the 1500 Meter Run at the 2011 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Outdoor Sports Complex in Marion, Ind., is home to the 31st Annual Women's events, which is hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
The 1,500 meter run is scheduled to start Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. EDT.
The senior is seeded No. 6 in a field of 14 and her seed time of 4:35.89 is seven seconds behind No. 1-seed Victoria Martinez (4:28.64) of Azusa Pacific (Calif.).
The native of Kaiserslautern, Germany, is already a two-time NAIA All-American. Hrushka first earned the honor with a third-place finish in the one mile run at the 2010 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships. She repeated the deed this past March by finishing sixth at the 2011 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
All-American honors are awarded to the top-six individuals in each event and all four runners in the top-six relay teams.
