CHIP BALDWIN is the owner of a new pizza parlor recently opened called Papa Murphy’s, near the corner of Paul Huff Parkway and Stuart Road in Farmland Corners. It’s a different concept in pizza, bringing not only the quality and freshness, as well as the hot-right-out-of-the-oven taste, of pizza at a dine-in restaurant, together with the convenience of serving it right in your own home at precisely the time that fits into your schedule.
There’s a new pizza in town.
And its name is Papa Murphy’s.
And it’s getting rave reviews.
Chip Baldwin, a native of Dalton, is the president and owner of the new Papa Murphy’s right here in Cleveland. He and his family, wife Marci, son Trent, 6, and daughter, Brooke, 4, first tasted a Papa Murphy’s pizza eight years ago.
“And my family and I have just loved the food ever since,” Baldwin said. Papa Murphy’s offers Herb Chicken Mediterranean pizza, the Rancher, Chicago-style stuffed, Papa’s all-meat, just to name a few. “It’s a new concept in pizza. I just love the idea of ‘Take and Bake pizza.’”
“Take and Bake pizza” means Papa Murphy’s builds a custom-made pizza for you and you take it home and get a steaming hot pizza right out of the oven anytime that suits YOUR schedule. You aren’t at the mercy of whenever you have time to pick it up or having it sit around getting cold and stale.
“It’s fresh. The pizza is made right before your eyes exactly how you want it with the finest ingredients. Custom-made,” Baldwin said.
Every pizza-lover can customize their own pizza to their own tastes.
“There are more than two dozen different toppings from which to choose. Five different sauces to choose from — two different tomato sauces, white garlic sauce, barbecue sauce, and a refried bean sauce. The dough is made fresh every day. The cheese, tomatoes, all the toppings are cut fresh every day,” he said. Customers can also choose to have different toppings on half the pizza, or even four different combination of toppings on only one-fourth of each pizza. And Papa Murphy’s also has a choice of crusts, from stuffed to regular to thin, called deLITE. “But hands down, it’s the taste. The pizza is wonderful. And, it’s convenient.”
Baldwin challenges you to compare the taste and quality of your current pizza with Papa Murphy’s. Its pizzas are made with 100 percent all-natural whole milk mozzarella, cheddar and provolone cheeses, real meat toppings such as Canadian bacon, premium salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, spicy hamburger and ground beef — no fillers, fresh Roma tomatoes, whole mushrooms, green peppers and onions.
“What you get will be worth it. Papa Murphy’s will never be accused of skimping on the toppings,” he said. For example, the five-meat pizza weights five pounds. Just pick up a Papa Murphy’s “Take and Bake Pizza,” get settled in at home, take the dog out for a walk, help the kids with homework, take care of any unexpected situation that may come up, whatever you need to do, and pop the Papa Murphy’s pizza in whenever you are ready. No reason to put up with cold, stale pizza ever again. And it’s also great for company, parties, events, and special occasions when you want just that extra special touch. Yes, Papa Murphy’s can accommodate creating a large number of pizza pies, etc., for a group gathering. “With Papa Murphy’s you won’t have to sacrifice when life gets in the way.”
You’re just 15 minutes at 425 degrees away.
Also offered on the Papa Murphy’s menu are salads and desserts, such as a S’mores pizza. And for those of you who want to know, Papa Murphy’s also offers not only nutritional information for its different dishes, but also “deLITE pizzas” for pizza-lovers who want to keep the calories down to a minimum, yet enjoy a high level of taste satisfaction.
“Try it, you’ll love it,” Baldwin said. It’s the favorite of his family. “You still get all the flavor, but not all the calories.”
And Papa Murphy’s pizzas can also be cooked up hot and fresh on the grill.
Call ahead for even faster service.
“And we’ll have it waiting for you,” Baldwin said.
Papa Murphy’s has earned the title of “Best Pizza Chain in America” for the past seven consecutive years.
One of the reasons for this award is because they’re always trying to add something new and different, such as the upcoming buffalo chicken pizza topped with hot sauce and a sweet and spicy Thai chicken pizza available in June.
And the price right now can start as low as $6 for a one topping, large, regular crust pizza in June that normally sells for $9. Coupons can be found around town for an additional $1 off.
In addition, Papa Murphy’s also takes EBT payments, which no other pizza place in the area takes, according to Baldwin.
“Come in and give us a try,” he said. Not only will you love the taste, freshness and variety, but you’ll be supporting a local small business.
Papa Murphy’s is located in Farmland Corners at the corner of Paul Huff Parkway and Stuart Road, 120 Stuart Road, and is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, call 472-5258 and/or e-mail cleveland.tn.pm@gmail.com and/or visit the website at www.papamurphys.com.
