The bride-elect is the daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Tipton. She is the granddaughter of Bobbie Liner of Cleveland and William Tipton of Tracy City.
A graduate of Notre Dame High School, Miss Tipton received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Tennessee Wesleyan College and is a teacher for Hamilton County schools.
The future bridegroom is the son of Mitchell and Gwen Swafford.
Mr. Swafford is a graduate of Central High School in Chattanooga and received an associate degree in criminal justice from Cleveland State Community College. He is a Cherokee Hot Shot Wild Land Fire Fighter.
They are both members of Woodland Park Baptist Church.
