The temporary change of locale is due to major remodeling of the East Side auditorium.
“We are blessed to make the upgrades needed to meet our vision and future growth,” said East Side’s evangelist Jeff Archey.
“Our elders, with their oversight and planning, noted the need for updating our facility and this is another phase in the process.”
The updated facility has a remodeled nursery to address the needs of young families. A new sound and audio room was added along with a new speaker system.
The foyer received a new fresh look as well as the auditorium’s exterior. The remodeling will see new pews, new carpet and new pulpit installed.
“This is the first major remodeling since our auditorium was built in 1971 and is but another phase in future plans as well,” Archey said.
Such future plans currently evaluated are additional classroom space, a larger nursery with expanding teaching area and training rooms for children.
“We appreciate Principal Ritchie Stevenson and his staff at Lake Forest Middle School for their flawless and gracious assistance during this time,” Archey said.
The congregation will assemble in the Lake Forest auditorium at 7 p.m. on both Wednesdays for the mid-week Bible study and at 9:30 a.m. June 19 for Bible study and 10:30 a.m. for worship.
Lake Forest Middle School is located just off Trewhitt Road. From Spring Place Road, go one mile on Trewhitt Road and turn left on Robin Hood Drive and follow the signs.
