Evelyn Brock Wade, 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in a local health care facility.
She was born May 23, 1925, in Tasso, the daughter of the late Ed and Lessie Brock. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Wade; brothers: Bill Brock, J.B. Brock and Lon Brock; and her sisters: Rosie Davis, Mary Swafford, Betty Holder and her special twin sister, Lillian Jenkins.
She was a member of South Cleveland Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Wade Bonine and her friend, Richard Holmes; sons: Tony Wade and his wife, Teresa and Tim Wade, all of Cleveland; brother, Thomas N. Brock of Cleveland; sisters: Naomi Stevenson, Katherine Daily and her husband John, and Bobbie Mullins, all of Cleveland, and Frances McCary of Chattanooga; grandchildren: Shawn Bonine, Ashley Bonine, T.J. Wade, Bobbie Wade and Kayla Wade; great-grandchildren: Tyler Bonine, Camdon Bonine and Fadewyn Wade; special nieces: Marcia Towers and Elizabeth Hood and her husband, Fred; and nephew, Wayne Shadden; special lifelong friends: Charles L. Nelms, George and Joann Nelms, John Nelms, and many other nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Lance Colkmire officiating.
Interment will follow in Tasso United Methodist Church Cemetery with Richard Holmes, Michael Brown, T.J. Wade, Dexter Hall, Brandon Thompson and Colby Dodd serving as pallbearers. Wayne Shadden will be an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 this evening at funeral homes, who is in charge of arrangements.
