Danny and Robin Lawson of Georgetown announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth, to Trevor Clay Taylor, the son of Joel and Marilyn Taylor of Manchester.

The couple will be united in marriage on Aug. 13 in an evening ceremony at the Lawson home. The Rev. Lake Walker of Bellefounte Baptist Church will perform the wedding.

Miss Lawson is the granddaughter of Monty and Faye Chadwick of Cleveland and the late Hoyt and Evelyn Lawson, She is the sister of Daniel Lawson.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Lee University and will graduate in July from Lincoln Memorial University, where she is in the physician’s assistant program.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Sagely and Jane Anderson and the late Hershel and Elizabeth Taylor. He is the brother of Travis Taylor and Troy Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Memphis College of Dentistry. He practices in Manchester, where the couple plans to reside.
