Bachman Academy held its annual Horse Camp June 6 through 10. The campers, ages 9-17, came to the half-day camp to learn the basics of horsemanship, horse care, and riding fundamentals. Each day campers spent time in the arena learning riding technique, and on the campus trails for trail riding. Campers also learned horse safety and care. The camp culminated in a horse show at the campus arena where the campers demonstrated their skills and received their participation certificates. Bachman Academy is a day and boarding school for students with learning differences such as dyslexia and AD/HD, offering college-prep and career-prep in equestrian, horticulture, woodworking, and mechanics. Bachman Academy is located on 210-acres of wooded farmland on Brymer Creek Road in McDonald. For additional information about Bachman Academy, please call 479-4523 or visit the school’s website
