The first orientation day was held by Hiwassee in June where incoming freshmen registered for fall classes.
“We usually host two orientation days, one on Friday and the other on a Saturday, each year,” says college President Robin Tricoli.
“This year we will probably have to add a third session. This fall we hope to have a very strong class of quality students at Hiwassee.”
The last day of regular registration for fall semester is Monday, Aug. 22, and classes begin the following day.
“It’s still not too late to apply for fall,” states Director of Admissions Richard Bettis.
“There is still space, financial aid and scholarship packages available, but you need to call us now.”
During orientation, students take placement tests, secure housing, meet and speak with their advisors, and learn more about what to expect come fall at Hiwassee.
