He was a member of West Cleveland Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Bonnie Taylor; three brothers: Clarence, Raymond and Fate Taylor; and brother-in-law, Dee Crisp.
He leaves behind his wife, Brenda Taylor; four daughters, and three sons-in-law: Gena and Bobby Cissom, Lisa and Donnie Barrett, Lisa and Danny Ashburn and Laura Hooker. He had eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law, Reath and Barbara Taylor; and sister, Eula Crisp all of Cleveland.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Hughes officiating.
Interment will follow in Earls Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Bryan Painter, Charlie Womack, Johnny Taylor, Eddie Harris, Vaughn Myers and Chris Taylor will serve as pallbearers.
His family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
