“Reviews are complete and we will put an offer on the table to the person we have agreed upon,” said Matt Ryerson, a board member of LTRO.
Fifty-one resumes were received by the board via e-mail. Some 24 were seeking the director’s position specifically, although several of the resumes were open-ended with an interest in either the director or case manager position.
Last week, Bernadette Douglas, executive vice president of the Cleveland-Bradley Chamber of Commerce and an LTRO board member, said a human resource team carefully reviewed all resumes and pared the list down to five finalists whose names were presented to the full board. The board interviewed the five applicants Friday.
“After we put an offer on the table and negotiations are complete, we expect an acknowledgment from the candidate by next week,” Ryerson said.
The LTRO director salary is expected to range from $40,000 to $50,000 annually.
Ryerson said the director will also be involved in the hiring process of a case manager.
“We are planning town hall public meetings to introduce this person and then we will get to work hiring for the case manager’s position,” Ryerson said.
“Our goal is to have both positions filled and moving toward long-term recovery by the end of this month,” he added.
The United Way of Bradley County will provide office space for the director and case manager. Officials are working toward equipping the office with computers and other needed items.
“We had some good candidates and Bradley County and Cleveland will have an outstanding director to lead us into the long-term recovery from the storms,” Ryerson said.
