Edna Mae Ferguson, 73, a resident of Birchwood, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011, in a Decatur health care facility.

She was the daughter of the late Edgar Allison and Jennie Rogers Allison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thomas Ferguson Sr.; son, Thomas Lee Ferguson; and brothers: Tillman Allison and L.E. Allison.

She loved baseball and watching the Atlanta Braves. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, listening to country music and playing Nintendo.

Survivors include two sons: James Ferguson and his wife, Angela, of Georgetown, and Wayne Ferguson Jr. and his wife, Valerie, of Decatur; one daughter, Cathey McKinney and her husband, Harold, of Cleveland; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mollie Bowman of Birchwood; one brother, Charlie Allison of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. James Hughes officiating.

Interment will follow in Bald Hill Cemetery with James Ferguson, Wayne Thomas Ferguson Jr., Jamey Ferguson, Harold McKinney, Christopher McKinney and Christopher Cofer serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends today, from noon to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
