A reported storm victim has also fallen victim to a thief as repairs to his home are being performed.
Mickey Scott contacted Bradley County Sheriff’s Office about his leased home on Colonial Court.
The home had suffered damage due to recent storms, according to an initial incident report filed by deputy Sam Long.
Scott said at least 30 workers have been present during the repair process.
“At some point, someone stole several items,” according to Long’s initial investigation.
A Blackberry Curve, Samsung Gravity and T-mobile Sidekick cell phones, as well as three diamond rings and a jar containing coins were discovered missing.
A full-sized bedding set was also missing from Scott’s residence, according to the report.
The missing items were valued at over $2,000.
Detective Heath Arthur with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was notified of the theft and is in charge of follow-up.
- A Yamaha Raptor ATV was reported stolen from a Lebanon Road address this week.
Pamela Lightfoot said the ATV was taken from the front porch of her home.
The vehicle was described as being a 2004 blue Raptor 350 4-wheel drive model. It was valued at $1,900.
Deputy Nathan Aly filed the report for Lightfoot.
- Door locks were reported stolen from a residence under construction.
According to a report filed by deputy Tim Robinson, someone entered Kenneth Benson’s property during the weekend and took two door lock sets and a box fan.
Benson told the deputy the items were new and still in the original packaging.
No dollar amount regarding the loss was listed in Robinson’s report.
