Did you know that you can now renew checked out DVDs and VHS tapes? If you have a pin number and a library card you can renew your books, DVDs and CD books online. The Circulation Desk is where you can obtain a pin number if you do not currently have one. You also need a pin number to get on a public access computer.

In order to renew your books or tapes you need to do it before the due date. If you wait until the books or tapes are due, you will not be able to renew your books or movies online.

If there has been a hold placed on the movie or book you will not be able to renew it either. Otherwise you can renew books twice and one time for DVDs. Call the Circulation Desk if you have any problems with renewing online.

Computer classes will resume at the end of August. Classes will be posted as soon as a schedule has been completed. Check with the Reference Department in mid August.

The summer reading program is winding down. This week’s activities will be centered on the Caribbean. This will be the last week of activities for crafts, cooking and movie afternoons.

The Grand Finale Party will be held July 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. Be sure to finish reading the required number of books and turn in your reading logs before July 29 to be able to pick up your certificate and goodie bag at the party.

Adults, don’t forget to turn in your reading logs to the Non-Fiction Desk on the second floor of the library. Adults must read 12 books before July 29 to be eligible for rewards.
