- 2006-2007 – Tennessee Department of Transportation notifies Waterville Baptist Church about the road expansion project on Dalton Pike.

- April 2007 – Waterville Baptist places earnest money on 100 acres approximately one and a half miles from their current facility on Dalton Pike for possible future expansion. Final purchase is made in 2009.

- June 2009 – Sinkhole is found over the septic tank at the Dalton Pike facility, with field lines discovered on the TDOT-purchased property, creating the need for TDOT to purchase the entire worship, educational, and fellowship facility (excluding the family life center and back parking lot).

- June 6, 2010 – Rardin and Carroll, architects, present master plan drawings of new facility.

- Aug. 2010 – Dr. Paul Conn, president of Lee University, issues invitation to WBC to “come be our neighbor” and hold worship services temporarily at 340 Church St., Lee’s newly acquired facility purchased from First Baptist Church.

- Sept. 17, 2010 – Church holds final homecoming service in 3722 Dalton Pike, S.E. facility featuring messages from former pastors, sermon by the Rev. Roger Hobbs, the sale of a history book by Lettie K. Burress and a CD-remake of the youth choir from 1960s to early 1970s.

- Oct. 31, 2010 – WBC holds the final service at 3722 Dalton Pike. The congregation meets on Sunday afternoon to explore their temporary home at 340 Church St.

- Nov. 7, 2010 – WBC holds first service in Lee’s new facility, formerly home of First Baptist. n October 2010 to May 21, 2011 – Design process completed and submissions made to the state fire marshal.

- May 21, 23, 2011 – Contract signed and site work on construction begins.

- July 10, 2011 – Official groundbreaking for the new facility with congregation.

- May, 2012 – The approximate date WBC will enter the new facility.
