Energizing 4-H was the theme for the Polk County Junior 4-H camp June 20 through 23 at Camp McCroy. Thirty-two 4-H members in grades fourth through sixth from across the county enjoyed a camp full of exciting activities. The camp offered classes on Light Energy, Chemical Energy, Heat Energy and Energy Food along with firearms safety, and crafts. Campers also enjoyed normal camp activities such as field events, sports, talent show, water Olympics and just hanging out with friends. As part of the theme the campers enjoyed a field trip to the Tellus Museum in Cartersville, Ga., where they learned about sound energy, minerals, and much more. Shown are highlights of this year’s camp.
