CSCC INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE
The Cleveland State Baseball program will offer a five week fall instructional league for high school aged players Aug. 23 through Sept 26. Players will have the opportunity to further develop baseball skills through instruction and games. CSCC TOURNAMENTS
Cleveland State will host a fall baseball tournament for 18-under, 16 -under and 14-under high school and select teams Sept. 10-18. The 16-under and 14-under tournaments will be Sept, 10, 11. The cost is $300 and a dozen baseball. The entry deadline for the 3-game pool play tournament is Sept. 2. The 18-under wood bat only tournament will be Sept. 17, 18. CCC INVITATIONAL
The seventh annual Cleveland Country Club Invitational has been set for Aug. 6-7. Amateur golfers from the Cleveland and Chattanooga area will have the opportunity to earn points for the 2011 Chattanooga TPC Championship. The field will consist of the first 144 paid entrants. The $135 entry fee includes one practice round, range balls, a CCC Invitational hat, continental breakfast, plus lunch both days of the event. Practice rounds can be scheduled for Aug. 2-4. GARY SMITH MEMORIAL
A new name for an old tournament, the Bradley Central Girls/Boys Basketball Golf Tournament is now known as the Gary Smith Memorial Golf Tournament and will be held Aug. 13 at the Chatata Valley Golf Club. The fundraiser for the Bear and Bearette hoop programs will once again be a two-man, select shot event. The $50 per player entry fee includes prizes and a lunch following the morning play. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. the day of the event with an 8:30 shotgun start planned. For more information contact coach Kent Smith at 284-0148.
RALLY FOR A CURE
The annual Rally for A Cure benefit golf tournament will be held Aug. 14 at the Cleveland Country Club. The 1:30 p.m. shotgun start for the four-person select shot format will be preceded by a lunch.
