A report was filed with deputy Brandon Edwards of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office regarding the theft of parts from the broken-down Honda.
According to his report, Edwards spoke with Dale Ledford who had given his son permission to drive the car.
The car broke down during the weekend and was left on the side of APD 40.
On Monday, Cleveland Police Department officer Phillip Ross checked on the car and placed a sticker on it indicating to the owner it needed to be removed.
When Ledford went to get the car Wednesday, he found someone had removed the bumper, and two wheels and tires from the 2001 silver Honda CR-V. The loss was estimated at $700.
- A Heritage Hills resident reported to officials that someone had taken $4,200 from his residence. Investigation into the theft is continuing.
According to a report filed by deputy Shaun McKee of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Harold Mills said someone had taken the money sometime between July 29 and Monday.
There were no signs of forced entry to the residence and Mills said a number of people had access to his home.
Mills was unsure of who may have taken the money.
- A 1986 Cobalt runabout boat was taken from an Ann Lane address sometime during the weekend.
A report was filed with deputy Steve McCullough Tuesday.
According to his report, Steven Snider said someone took the 19-foot boat from a lot which adjoins the Ann Lane address.
The boat was on a dual-axle trailer, and together their loss was estimated at $1,800.
The boat was described as being tan in color. Serial numbers were obtained and expected to be entered into the National Crime Information Center computer.
Investigation is continuing.
