Amanda Martin and Kim Martin, both of Cleveland, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla, to Kamus Thompson, the son of Tonya and Scott Harmon of Cleveland.

The couple will wed in a 5 p.m. ceremony on Sept. 10 at the Old Woolen Mill.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Chanie Mae Scoggins of Cleveland and the late Claude Scoggins, Bill Locke of Etowah and the late Mary Ruth Locke. She is the sister of Mandy Martin of Cleveland.

Miss Martin is a graduate of Walker Valley High School and will graduate in December from Cleveland State Community College. She is employed by Whirlpool.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Jo Reeder of Cleveland and the late Chester Reeder, and Connie Harmon of Cleveland and the late Douglas Harmon. He is the brother of Ramey Thompson and Jamey Thompson, both of Cleveland.

Mr. Harmon attended Bradley Central High School and is employed by PLS.
