Mekalah Lynn McElrath
Mekalah Lynn McElrath was the recipient of the National Scholarship Program for the National Department of Am Vets District III. McElrath will get a four-year undergraduate scholarship of $4,000. Since its inception in the 1950s, the Amvets National Scholarship Program has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to graduating high school students who are sons or daughters of American veterans. McElrath will be entering Chattanooga State College this fall to pursue a degree as a dental hygienist.
