THE MUSEUM CENTER AT FIVE POINTS will host Russell Townsend, tribal preservation officer for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation, on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to give a talk on recent Cherokee archaeology in Tennessee and North Carolina. The lecture is part of an ongoing series of education programs to accompany the exhibit, “Generations: Cherokee Language Through Art,” on view through Oct. 15.
