He was a member of Graysville Baptist Church.
He retired from Mohawk Carpet where he was employed as an electrician for more than 19 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Ray Liner and Betty Jo Colloms Liner; and granddaughter, Candace Nicole Corley.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Barker Liner, of Calhoun; children: Betty J. Corley (Paul) of Florida, Ronnie Liner of Georgia, Debbie Liner of Calhoun, Becky J. Brown (Ricky) of Cleveland and John A. Liner of Nashville; brothers: Phil Liner (Della) of Charleston and Kenny Liner of Cleveland; grandchildren: Kerri E. Corley of Florida and Sheena Brown of Cleveland; and several grandsons, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Revs. Denny Manning and Ray Ingram officiating.
Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with David Crittenden, Roger Crittenden, Butch Maddox, Randy Maddox, Eddie Hamby and David Colloms serving as pallbearers. Mike Crittenden will serve as honorary pallbearer.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
