Polk County golf was in action Monday against McMinn Central at Ridgewood Golf Course.
The Polk boys’ squad carried a team score of 158 to edge Central’s 161.
Evan Ball fired a 35 on the day for nine holes, Ryan Droke shot 40, Cameron Bean shot 40 and Michael Rongey shot 43.
The Mustangs came out of the match carrying a record of 7-5 on the year.
Lady Mustangs shot a combined score of 101 to beat Central’s score of 105.
Lydia Triplett shot a 40 and Emily Massengill shot a 61.
The Lady Mustangs hold a record of 8-1 on the year.
Walker Valley golf will next play Thursday against Copper Basin at Chatata Valley.
