According to Ruth, he was admitted to the hospital late Friday night due to an increased heart rate.
“I was at SkyRidge for some tests and a procedure to slow my heart rate down some,” Ruth said. “I’m back at work now and feel fine.”
Ruth said today the problem had been corrected but did not elaborate further.
The sheriff said he was released from the hospital early Sunday morning.
