Rhea County took advantage of two CHS fumbles which resulted in a Rhea County touchdown. Cleveland picked up the pace in the second half with strong offensive plays by T.J. Parker, quarterback Austin Massey and Jake Gibson. Raiders’ freshman Eric Goodwin also contributed to the team’s strong offensive play.
Coach David McMahan commented after the game, ”Defensively, we need to do a better job at stopping the run, but overall I am proud of how our kids did not give up all night.”
Cleveland will take to the field against Chattanooga Central Monday night at home. Kickoff is scheduled for at p.m. at Raider Field.
