Polk County’s golf teams were in action Thursday against. The Wildcats hosted Silverdale Baptist Academy and Meigs County at Chatata Valley Golf Course. The Lady Wildcats hosted Copper Basin and Meigs.
The Polk boys’ squad carried a team score of 163 to beat out Silverdale’s 171 and Meigs’s 187.
Evan Ball fired a 35 on the day for nine holes, Michael Rongey shot 41, Cameron Bean shot 43 and Jake Burrows shot 44.
The Wildcats came out of the match carrying a record of 10-5 on the year.
Lady Wildcats got a combined score of 89 to beat Copper Basin’s score of 104 and Meigs’s 121.
Lydia Triplett shot a 42 and Lauren Passmore shot a 47.
The Lady Wildcats hold a record of 13-1 on the year.
Polk County golfers will next be in action Tuesday against McMinn Central and Meigs County at Chatata Valley.
