GRANDPARENTS’ DAY is today at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Cleveland-Bradley Public Library. Children 12 and under are invited, with their grandparents, to this fun afternoon filled with stories, cupcake decorating and fun photos, as well as an old-fashioned sing-a-long.

FOLA’S Books and Coffee will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Craigmiles-Johnston History Branch Library. FOLA members Donna Anderson and Mary Ellen Stinchfield will review Kristin Hannah’s “Winter Garden.” The reviews usually last one hour. It is not necessary to have read the book to enjoy the review. All are invited to this free FOLA event.
FOOTHILLS COUNTRY FAIR entries for categories such as artworks, handcrafted articles, baked goods, garden produce and baked and canned goods will be accepted Tuesday between 3 and 7 p.m. Entries are to be taken to the Tri-State Exhibition Center’s new Exhibition Building. Judging will take place Sept. 14.
CALICO SQUARES dance class will hold open enrollment Sept. 13, 20 and 27 from 7 to 8 p.m. for square dance classes in the second-floor Community Room at Garden Plaza. No experience is necessary. The event will be held Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club. Merchants Alley will interest shoppers at the luncheon with goods from several local merchants. LITERARY WEEKEND IN ETOWAH will be held Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, the same weekend as the Etowah Arts and Crafts Fall Festival. A stage performance will be given on Sept. 30.
