Ashley Barnett Woody became the bride of Tyson Erik Bennewitz, both of Knoxville, in an evening ceremony on June 25, 2011, at Broad Street United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Byron and Anne Woody of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Dora Stone of Harrison, Loretta Ellis of Old Fort and Herbert Woody of Cleveland.

The bridegroom is the son of Dan and Dana Bennewitz of Cleveland. He is the grandson of Rosella Thompson of Athens and the late Joe Thompson and the late Bob and Nettie Bennewitz.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Debbie Stokes, associate pastor of Broad Street United Methodist Church. LaRonda Cochran, cousin of the bride, read the Scripture. Nuptial music was provided by Dr. Matthew Krepps.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Emily Woody of Kissimmee, Fla., as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Stinchfield-Hixson, Samantha Jordania and Whitney Sauer of Cleveland.

Dan Bennewitz served as best man. Groomsmen included Kyle Kirchem, Brent McIntosh and Eric Hubbard, all of Cleveland.

Shelby Stone and Riley Frazier, cousins of the bride, served as flower girl and ring bearer. Alison Miles, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.

The reception was given by the parents of the couple at the Museum Center at Five Points. Vocal music was provided by Dustin Nicholson of Chattanooga, accompanied by his guitarist. Harlie and Chloe Cochran, cousins of the bride, were program attendants.

After a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the couple is at home in Knoxville.
