The Cleveland Middle School eighth-grade Blue Raiders football team recently defeated Lake Forest Middle by a score of 44-22.

After receiving the kickoff, the Raiders wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. Hunter Oliver ran 50 yards to paydirt on the first play from scrimmage to start the scoring onslaught. Cantrell Ware added touchdown runs of 70, 25, and 15 yards. Oliver scored again on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Chantz Placek. Placek added a 2-yard quarterback sneak to finish off the scoring for the Blue Raiders.

The Raiders accumulated 340 total yards of offense with Ware knocking out 203 yards.

The Raiders are 2-1 on the season with games against East Lake, Baylor, Ocoee, and Dalton (Ga.) scheduled for the remainder of the season.
