He now resides with his Heavenly Father. He was born on Sept. 16, 1943, in Estill Springs to the late Clarence and Abbie Lewis Riddle.
He was a member of Mountain View Church of God.
He retired as a millwright from Ford Motor Company in Chicago. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Wilma McAnally and Rebecca Kaye Langsdon; brother, Edgar Lynn Riddle; and his son-in-law, Ronald Johnston Jr.
He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Beverly Reichstadter Riddle; children: Kimberly (Rand) Witz, John (Tina) Riddle, and Christine Johnston, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Matthew Witz, Sierra Johnston, Samuel Riddle and Megan Witz; brothers: Lester (Nancy) Riddle, Ricky (Laura) Riddle, and Roger (Marilyn) Riddle; sisters: Wanda (Scott) Workman and Clarita Riddle; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be deeply missed.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Mercer officiating.
Interment will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, concluding with military honors.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
