CMS wins, ties in Dayton

DAYTON — The Cleveland Middle School tennis team traveled to Dayton Tuesday for a match with Dayton City. The CMS boys won 9-3 and the CMS girls tied 6-6.

The boys were led by brothers Graham and Will Hammond with two wins each (singles and doubles). Also winning two games were Jake Griffin.

The CMS girls were down 5-1 and came from behind with late victories by Michaela Gobble, Morgan Millwood, Angie Giraldo, and a doubles victory by Sammie Kate Eason and Ryan Cain.

The Raiders now stand at 4-1 (boys) while the CMS girls are 3-3-1.
