Judith Faye Hysinger “Judy” Harper, 72, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

She was the daughter of the late Marion Hysinger and Bonnie Murray Hysinger. She was also preceded by one brother, Jimmy Hysinger.

She was a member of New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a 1957 graduate of Bradley Central High and was employed for many years with Volunteer Electric Cooperative, Cleveland State Community College, Cleveland Community Hospital, and retired from the City of Cleveland Public Works Department.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jerry Harper of Cleveland; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Kim Harper of Chatsworth, Ga.; three wonderful grandchildren: Kylie, Melody and Peyton Harper, all of Chatsworth; and numerous extended family members.

The funeral will be held today, Sept. 29, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. at the New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 310 New Murraytown Road, Cleveland TN 37312. The Revs. John McCarty and Paul Isom will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the service today at the church.

Internment will be private at a later date in the Murray Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
