Noah Luther Ramsey, 70, a lifelong resident of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at the family residence.
He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He was a barber.
He was the son of the late Carmack Ramsey and Lena Poteet Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Helen Smith and Julie Allsion.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ramsey of Benton; children and spouses: Dallas Grayless of Benton, Donna and Billy Hill of Old Fort, James Grayless of Calhoun, Ga., and David Grayless and Michelle Wallin, both of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren; Jennifer and Tyler Patterson, Joshua Hill, Lauren Aldridge, D.J. Grayless, Peyton Grayless, Destynee Pickett, Derrick and Karlee Segler; great-grandchildren: Tanner Patterson, Ashton Patterson and Chandler Womac; and sister, Martha Linder.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, Sept. 30, 2011, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Ingram officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mountain View Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
Billy Hill, David Grayless, Joshua Hill, Tyler Patterson, Dallas Grayless, Kason Harmon and D.J. Grayless will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Patterson, Ashton Patterson and Chandler Womac.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
