“Write the Light: Making the Most of Every Opportunity” is the theme for this year’s Southeastern Christian Writers Conference to be held once again in Cleveland at the United Christian Church on Oct. 14 and 15.

The keynote speaker will be Sally Stuart, author of “Christian Writers Market Guide.” Workshop leaders will include Lifeway editor René Holt, Mike Burnette, director of printing at Pathway Press, along with Tracy Crump, Vicki Moss and Bill George.

Local authors who will teach in the conference are Wanda Griffith, Evaline Echols, Wendy Brown, Nansy Grill, Lettie Kirkpatrick Burress and Cameron Fisher. Topics will deal with conducting interviews, writing for magazines, Internet publishing, professional speaking and submitting to the Chicken Soup publications.

Stuart has been writing for 43 years and has published 26 editions of the “Christian Writers Market Guide,” the only guide specifically for the Christian market. Stuart is a columnist for several Christian writers publications, also. In addition, she has published a dozen other books and many articles and columns.

The registration fee is $99 for both days, which includes supper and lunch. For Saturday only, the fee is $70. Online registration is available at www.secwc.com, or by writing SECWC, P.O. Box 4633, Cleveland, TN 37320-4633. For more information, call 479-2063.
