She was the daughter of the late Myrtle Wright Brock and Joseph Brock. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dixon; grandson, Dale Stone; sister, Novella Trew; and brother, J.W. “Jake” Brock.
She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and traveling with her church group. She loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Margaret Witt and her husband, Henry, of Ocoee and Becky Parker and her husband, Gerald, of Lancaster, S.C.; two sons: Joe Dixon of Nashville and Tim Dixon and his wife, Chris, of Etowah; six grandchildren: Heath Stone, Dixon Parker, Magan Parker, Gabi Mizell, Madison Dixon and Catie Dixon; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Elton Brock and his wife, Iola, of Benton; and several special friends.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 5, 2011, from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Donald Weaver officiating.
Interment will follow in the Benton Cemetery with Bill Trew, Curtis Trew, Denny Trew, Mark Dixon, Heath Stone and Dixon Parker serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends today from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
