FAMILY PROMISE
FAMILY PROMISE needs volunteers, money, linens and other things to help families who have “lost their homes” because of lost jobs, storms, medical bills, etc. At present Family Promise has 13 churches participating in the program, which allows needy families to use the churches as a temporary “home for a week.” While the families get back on their feet, they must move each week. To help make it easier to move, 18-gallon containers are being used to keep personal items. Westside Ruritan Club recently donated 14 of the Rubbermaid containers to Family Promise. Anyone wishing to donate services or materials may contact Family Promise at 650-4106 or at P.O. Box 5703, Cleveland, TN 37320-5703.
