Sheriff’s Office seeking the public’s help in solving theft

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help solving the theft of metal concrete forms used for major highway construction projects, according to a release from Bob Gault, media and public relations coordinator for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Sixty-five curb formers were taken from the 3100 block of Dalton Pike between Oct. 7 and 11. This is the area of reconstruction where the highway is being widened and improved.

An employee of Highways Inc. of Brentwood Tennessee discovered the loss. which was reported to be $32,500. The employee said the curb formers are unique to industrial highway construction and would not be suitable for use in residential areas.
