He was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church and retired from Eastern State Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his children: Wayne and Carol Ann Scott; his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Scott; stepchildren: Jimmy Seals and wife, Joanna, of Illinois, Ann Petty and husband, Donny, of Chattanooga, Linda Wolfenbarger and husband, James, Faye Rice and husband, Mike, all of Lenoir City, Betty Decker and husband, Jack, of Cleveland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Revs. George Seay and David Petty officiating.
Interment will follow in the Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
