She was an avid lover of animals and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Cole; parents, Earl Edward Gunter Sr. and Agnes Gunter; brother, Eddie Gunter; and sister, Barbara Reeves Plaster.
Survivors include one son, Mitchell Cole and wife, Elaine, of Cleveland; granddaughter, Molly Holder; brother, Jim Gunter of Cleveland; sister, Linda Croft of Ooltewah; and special friends: Sherry Ash, Shelba Cole and Flora Moodley.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Higgins officiating.
Interment will follow in Tennessee/Georgia Memorial Park with Charles Reeves, Darrell Davis, Richie Ownby, Mitchell Cole, Jim Gunter, and Richard Croft Jr. serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
