The Museum Center at Five Points’ sixth annual Pumpkin Carving Contest is sponsored and judged each year by Guthrie Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze. Those wishing to enter the contest should have their carved pumpkins to the museum by Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. or Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded in categories: Adult Division, Youth Division (5-16), and Professional/Artist Division. Three prizes will be awarded in each division and winners will receive $50, $25 and a Family Membership for first-, second-, and third-place.

Prizes will be awarded Monday at 4 p.m. The pumpkins must remain on display at the museum during the annual Tall Betsy Storytelling Night on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free for this evening of family-friendly Halloween stories, children’s crafts, treats, and visits from Tall Betsy.

For further information on entering a pumpkin in the contest, call the Museum Center and ask for Tracy at 339-5745.
