Jeanette K. Hollifield, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

She was a retired school teacher, and taught for the Whitfield and Murray County (Ga.) Schools for over 33 years.

She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she was actively involved as the church pianist. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Ennis Humberd and L. Maxine Humberd; and one brother, Lamar Humberd.

Survivors include her husband, T. Virgil Hollifield of Cleveland; sons: Stephen E. Miller of Gallatin and Scot D. Miller (Tera) of Cleveland; daughter, Sonya J. Moats (Joe) of Old Fort; stepdaughter, M. Darlene Myers of Indianapolis.; brothers: Gary Humberd (Janis) of St. Charles, Mo., and Tom Humberd (Linda); sister-in-law, Patsy Humberd of Cleveland; sister, Charlotte Nichols of Cleveland; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Humbard and Rev. Stinnett Ballew officiating.

Interment will follow in Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Colton Reeder, Andy Miller, Cody Miller, Chandler Miller, Matthew Myers, Kyle Myers, Cody Myers, and Eric Goode serving as pallbearers. The interment service will be concluded with a dove release ceremony.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home.
