Program Chairman Glenda Free, along with Ariana Kim, Distinguished Young Woman of Cleveland 2012, and committee members, will be in attendance to present the program details and answer questions.
The local program will be held March 16 at First Baptist Church. The program is open to any young woman of Bradley County who is currently a high school junior.
Distinguished Young Women is a national scholarship program that inspires high school girls to develop their full individual potential through a fun, transformative experience that culminates in a celebratory showcase of their accomplishments.
The mission of the program is to positively impact the lives of young women by providing an experience that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and individual talents.
Cleveland’s local program awards in excess of $5,000 in scholarships yearly to young women in our community.
Anyone interested in participating in the program, along with their family members, is encouraged to attend this meeting.
