He was born Dec. 20, 1928, to Clyde G. Bache and Gabrella Burke Bache. He is preceded by his sister, Barbara Jean Bache; and his brother, Thomas Harold “Pete” Bache.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, worked at the Coca-Cola Co., the Culpeper Star Exponent and the Potomac News. “Bee” was an avid bingo player and loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Hart Bache of Culpeper; his children: Deborah Ann Brown and her husband, Jimmy, of Brightwood, Va., Rebecca Leigh Bledsoe and her husband, Rodney, of Culpeper, and Lawrence G. Bache Jr. (Larry) and his wife, Dawn, of Culpeper; his grandchildren: Merri Ellyn Woodward and her husband, Jason, Erin Mitchell and her husband, Trey, Ashleigh Greenwood and her husband, Joe, Danielle Krumholz and her husband, Pete, Sarah Owens and her husband, Todd, Cody Brown and his girlfriend, Anna Piel, Stephen Bledsoe and his girlfriend, Ashley Rutherford, Lauren Bache, Russell Bache, Caleigh-Ruth Brown; and six great-grandchildren; his brothers: Jack Bache of Cleveland, Donald Bache “Donnie” and his wife, Shirley, of Culpeper and James Bache “Bucky” and his wife, Winnie, of Culpeper; and several nieces and nephews and Smokey.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.16, 2011 at the funeral home in Culpeper.
Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E. Chandler Street with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guards.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, Va.
