According to Mrs. Hannah, although the birth was a C-section, it was not the plan that baby Aubree would be born on Veterans Day at 11 a.m.
Big brother Colby and sister Gracie didn’t care what day it was. They welcomed their little sister with expected excitement.
“My mommy is having my baby sister,” Colby announced at the hospital. “I’m the big brother,” he added.
When he came to the Banner offices with his mother and grandmother, Jennifer Blankenship of Cleveland, Colby made sure everyone knew, “I’m taking care of her.”
The grandmother said this is her fifth grandchild. Other grandparents are Roger and Betty Stokes of Cleveland and Steve Hannah of Athens.
Mrs. Hannah, who was born at SkyRidge when it held a different name, is a graduate of Bradley Central High School and Mr. Hannah graduated from Cleveland High School.
The two were introduced to each other by mutual friends 4 1/2 years ago and married in Cleveland.
