Linda Foster, chapter regent, led the DAR Ritual with Harriett Caldwell reciting the chaplain’s response. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag, the pledge to the Tennessee Flag, the American’s Creed, the Preamble to the Constitution, the Daughters’ Pledge to the flag, and the singing of the National Anthem.
Mariann Dietrich, vice regent, introduced the program. The Rev. Guinn and Anita Green sang songs from the Revolutionary War.
Foster presented Helen Riden with her past regent pin. Gussie Ridgeway discussed the Civil War events in Charleston and at Fort Hill Cemetery.
Foster thanked Joyce Maupin and Caldwell for serving as hostesses for the November meeting.
The next meeting will be held at the Elks Lodge on Dec.
