“Crimson Ridge combines great vocal harmonies and strong country melodies,” said the Rev. Will Nichols, producer of the weekly music event. “They’ve been singing together since 2007 and have developed a quality, polished sound. It’s a concert not to miss.”
Composed of Greg Davis, Jackie Painter, and Warren Beeler, the group sang together under the name “3 4Thee” for three years before becoming Crimson Ridge. They record under the Church House Music label.
“The members of Crimson Ridge live what they sing,” continued Nichols, who is known as “The Gospel Gun” as the announcer for the show. “We’re blessed that they are willing to travel all the way to this area for the show.”
The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee provides a weekly menu of various musical styles including gospel, bluegrass and country.
“There is no admission to the Jubilee and the public is invited. It’s a casual, come-as-you-are event,” continued Nichols. “We pass the hat for the headliners and each week we give away some nice door prizes.”
Regulars on the Jubilee include Southern Gospel singer Amy McAlister, singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett, and the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. The event is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church, 3040 Blythe Road between Blackburn and Blue Springs Roads, just off Dockery Lane in the Dockery Heights subdivision.
