Scott Alan Brown of Cleveland died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at his home surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Wilson Brown and Bobbie Brown Pierce.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Diana Ledgett Brown of Cleveland; and his greatly loved son, Justin Alan Brown of Hixson, as well as a sister, Susan Medford of Rossville.

He was born in LaFayette, Ga., on May 14, 1959. He spent his youth in the North Georgia area. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 through 1986 where he worked in law enforcement. After the military, Scott returned to school and graduated from Northwestern Technical College with a degree in nursing.

During his nursing career, he worked in various health care settings in North Georgia and Chattanooga areas with the most recent being Hospice of Chattanooga.

A memorial service and interment will be private.
