By the successful completion of required board examinations, White is now named a Diplomat of the ABCS. In order to be eligible for certification, a physician/surgeon candidate must have: already completed core board certification by the American Graduate Medical Education; completed more than 1,000 cosmetic surgical procedures with exceptible result reviews by the board review committee physicians; and completed a physician/surgeon practice in cosmetic surgery for more than six years prior to examination. Eligible candidates must then pass comprehensive written and oral examinations in regard to the field of cosmetic surgery before attaining the goal of Diplomat.
