The Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory will hold its annual Christmas Celebration on Sunday, 3 p.m., at the new Lee University Chapel.
Featured will be Dr. Allan Lockerman, the Rev. Max Morris and Danny Murray and the Voices of Lee.
Democratic Party’s Christmas dinner is Dec. 12
The Bradley Democratic Party’s Christmas Dinner is Dec. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Ryan’s Family Steak House, 138 Paul Huff Parkway.
Every possible potential Democratic voter and election workers are welcome to the Dutch-treat dinner. The organization says more election workers are needed.
Concert to benefit Boehm Birth Defects Society
“The Children of Christmas” will be presented Saturday, 7:30 p.m., at Girls Preparatory School’s Fine Arts Auditorium in Chattanooga.
The benefit concert will aid the Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Society.
The concert is presented by the Choo Choo Chorus and will feature the Chattanooga an Cleveland Community Christmas Chorus.
Cost is $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

Trail of Tears group to meet Sunday at Red Hill UMC
The Tennessee Trail of Tears Association will meet in Bradley County on Sunday, at Red Hill United Methodist Church, 527 Red Hill Valley Road S.E.
A covered-dish dinner will be held at noon.
Presentations about TNTOTAs work in the state will begin about 12:45 p.m.
A visit to a historic house in the area will be held at the conclusion of the meeting.
History workshop planned on Ocoee District
The Tennessee Association of Professional Surveyors is having a workshop on the Ocoee District on Saturday.
The heart of the Ocoee Survey District is Bradley County. The beginning point for the basis line is in Charleston and the group is trying to recover it.
The survey district was established in 1836 in order to dispose of all of the Cherokee property following the removal.
The group will meet at the municipal building in Charleston (on Worth Street) at 10 a.m. to do the field exercise sometime after lunch.
