Terry and Annette Atkinson of Cleveland announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Danielle, to Jason Daniel McDonald, the son of Bruce and Karen McDonald, also of Cleveland.

The couple will wed in a 3 p.m. ceremony on Dec. 17 at Keith Street Ministries where they both attend.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harold and Betty Young of Ooltewah, Joyce Atkinson of Cleveland and the late Tunnie Atkinson. She is the sister of Andrew Atkinson and Alex Atkinson, both of Cleveland.

Miss Atkinson is a 2008 graduate of Walker Valley High School and is a current music education major at Lee University. She is employed by Target in Cleveland.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Bobby and Dorothy McDonald of Owensboro, Ky., the late Edna Mae McDonald and F.D. and Lois Black of Martinsville, Va. He is the brother of Micah McDonald of Cleveland.

Mr. McDonald is a 2006 graduate of Walker Valley High School and a 2010 graduate of Lee University with a bachelor of science degree in psychology. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at Lee University with an anticipated spring 2012 graduation.

Mr. McDonald is employed by the YMCA in Cleveland and Benson-Meyer Electric.
